Wellington
Wellington is the capital of New Zealand. There are 448.956 inhabitants. New Zealand is separated in the north Island and south Island. Wellington is located at the south of the North Island. Because of the location it is often extremely windy and therefore the capital is called “Windy Wellington “. Besides Wellington is known for the extremely danger of earthquakes. Around the capital you find different landscapes. In the south there are areas, that are covered with knows. In the north you see long beaches with white sand. In the east you find areas, where wine grapes are grown and in the west there are the mountains. In Wellington you have got more sunny days than in other cities and the amount of rain is less than in several other cities like Auckland and Sydney. The highest temperature in summer is on the average 20.6°. Winter months are from May to August.
