The Cranberries

The Cranberries are an Irish rock band formed in Limerick in Ireland in 1989 under the name The Cranberry Saw Us. The group was one of the most successful rock acts of the '90s and sold over 14.5 million albums in the United States alone and One of their most successful songs is "zombie" a protest against the acts of violence between Catholic and Protestant extremists in Northern Ireland. The band currently consists of O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler. When the tape still operated under the name The Cranberry Saw Us, it excisted of Noel and Mike Hogan, Fergal Lawler and the front singer Naill Quinn at that time.

After his escape in 1990 he recommended Dolores O'Riordan as a singer, it was taken up in May of the same year. Short time ago they renamed themselves to The Cranberries. Since this the constellation up to the resolution remained in 2003 unchanged. In September, 2003 The Cranberries separated, because O'Riordans mother-in-law had fallen ill and a little bit later she died. It was not possible to work under these circumstances. Therefore The Cranberries finished her musical cooperation provisionally.

Then 25th of August, 2009 Dolores O'Riordan officially announced the reunion of the Cranberries and announced a tour which should start in November, 2009. The song texts and the melodies were always written by Dolores O'Riordan, sometimes also with the help o
f Noel Hogan and they often act from love, relations or separation, but also from war and misery. Their music was always in the foreground. The scenery or the choreography weren't important. It was just the music which was important for them.

You can see that the woman is always in front of the others.
