Flogging Molly

Flogging Molly is an Irish folk-punk band. Before making the band 'Flogging Molly', lead singer Dave King (Dublin born) was the vocallist for a heavy meatal band called 'Fastway'. In 1993, Dave met guitarist Ted Hutt, bassist Jeff Peters and fiddle player Bridget Regan (Dave and Bridget have been married since 2008, they have a son) and made the band Flogging Molly. They played in a pub called Molly Malone's every Monday. "We used to play there every Monday night and we felt like we were flogging it to death, so we called the band Flogging Molly" Dave said.
Ted and Jeff left the band. Dave and Bridget found 5 new members one of them was 17 year old Nathen Maxwell, who saw a show and then later became part of the band.
Flogging Molly has released a solo album called 'Alive Behind The Green Door' then released 4 studio albums called 'Swagger, Drunken Lullabies, Within a Mile of Home and Float'. They released an album only on iTunes called 'Complete Controlled Sessions'. Their newest album being released on 24th of May 2011
is called 'Speed of Darkness'. The single from this album called 'Don't Shut 'em Down' is avaliable for free if downloaded.

  1. Oh great, you added a video without my help :-) I think it was much work... But if you add a video by yourself (not from youtube), you should mention the source...
Metal is not really my music style, but I liked your article...
