Melbourne By Pascal Stieler

Melbourne is a very big city with a great skyline and history.
Melbourne is the maincity in Victoria, which is a district in Australia.
Melbourne has got 3,37million people and is after Sydney the secong biggest town in Australia. Melbourne was called after the British premierminister Lord Melbourne in 1837. Melbourne has got 31 states. The temperature average is 14.9°C. The hottest month is February with a temperature average of 20,2°C.

Now I'll tell you a little bit about Melbourne's sights.
The Melbourne Museum which was opened in November 2000 is the biggest museum on the Southern Hemisphere.
Melbourne has got many skyscrapers.
The for me best sight is the Shrine of Remeberance - War Memorial. It's like a small pyramid.
The Flinder street station also is a very beautifull building.

If you ask some Australian people about Melbourne they will tell you first about Albert Park. Albert Park is the Formula 1 and V8 Supercars track in Melbourne. The Australians are very interested in motorsports. Their favourite driver is Mark Webber in Formula 1.
Next week the Formula 1 is in Alber Park and the Tickets were even a few weeks ago sold.

So in the end I have to say that Melbourne is a very beautifull big town with lots of sights and skyscrapers. But there are also many natural disasters like big dusts and bush fires. But Melbourne will stay beautifull town.

  1. Nice article, but perhaps it would have been more interesting if you had also written about the history of Melbourne.

  2. Thank you for this post about Melbourne! Please check your entry before you post it, there are a few mistakes which you can easily avoid, for example "February", "British" or "hottest"...
