NBA means National Basketball Association. This Basketball league exists since 1946 in Northamerica. It is known as the strongest and most popular Basketball league of the world.In the NBA are 30 teams which are divided into 2 groups which are called the Western and the Eastern Conference. In these two Conferences the teams are divided again in three Divisions. In the Eastern Conference are teams from the Southeast and the middle of the USA. The other division is called Atlantic. In these divisions are teams like the Boston Celtics, the Chicago Bulls or the Atlanta Hawks. In the Western Conference are the teams from the Northwest and Southwest of the USA and here the third division is called Pacific. In these three divisions of the Western Conference are teams like the Denver Nuggets, the acting champion the Los Angeles Lakers or the Dallas Mavericks.
The official Date of Establishment is the 6. June 1946. First this league was known as Basketball Association of America (BBA). The first president and BBA-Chairman was Maurice Podoloff. Before he was also the president of the NHL (Eishockey league). This league had a solid financial but she wasn't so popular because there weren't good players. Harder was it when 4 teams leaved the league in her first year. So at the 3. August 1949 the National Basketball league (NBL) was taken. Finally after 3 teams leaved from NBL to the BBA the league was named as National Basketball Association (NBA). From time to time the NBA inveted new rules and better players came. So this league got popular. In difference time span often one team dominated the league. At begin the Mineapolis Lakers, then the Boston Celtics and now the Los Angeles Lakers are the acting champion of the NBA.

Hey ho! Now I know a lot more about NBA and the groups. It´s very informal and it´s easy to read the article. I think it´s an interesting theme with many things you can add. You can add more pictures but the big picture is great, too. ;)

Well, you have choosen a good topic. Before I read the text, I wasn't as interested as I'm now into the NBA Sport. I hope, it informed yourself as well as me and maybe, you'll see a game in a stadion. Please tell me, if there is a match in the television ;)
